The #15 Oklahoma Sooner Women's Tennis Team begins Big 12 play today in Austin against the #6 Texas Longhorns. This is a big match to open Big 12 play for the Sooners. I think I am correct in saying the Big 12 title has traveled through Norman or Austin the last few years. The teams only meet once this season, so this match becomes paramount in importance.

I think maybe a key in the match is if Alina Shcherbinina plays for the Sooners today. Shcherbinina usually plays #1 doubles with Dana Guzman and then plays #1 singles. In their last match Shcherbinina did not play. I do not know if she was maybe dealing with an injury or not.
