Regular Season Final NQS scores and rankings

Post by AustinTXSooner »

Team first. I'll list the top 5 in each event.

All Around
RankNQSTeam
1198.475Oklahoma
2198.180California
3198.125LSU
4197.905Florida
5197.840Utah
The dominance here is mind boggling. The Sooners have posted 198+ scores in 8 straight meets and 9 of their last 10. They only have 1 score (197.775) lower than #5 Utah's NQS score. They've dropped three 198+ scores for NQS.

California has four 198+ scores with a high of 198.550. LSU has six 198+ scores. Five of those are at home. Only three other schools have high scores that would even qualify for OU, and they'd have to be road scores. Our qualifying home scores are 198.675, 198.650, and 198.775. The highest non-OU score so far this year is a tie between Cal and UCLA with a 198.550.

Vault
RankNQSTeam
149.520Oklahoma
249.490LSU
349.485Florida
449.465Michigan St
549.450Kentucky
LSU has the highest single score of 49.675. OU and Florida have a 49.600 score. Nine other teams have scores of 49.500+

Bars
RankNQSTeam
149.695Oklahoma
249.640California
349.560LSU
449.555Alabama
549.500Denver
We have a high score of 49.825. Three other schools have scored 49.700+ (Ball St, Denver, and California)

Beam
RankNQSTeam
149.710Oklahoma
249.630California
349.530Florida
449.505LSU
549.500Utah
We have a high score of 49.800 (twice). Only California has a higher score (49.825). Only one other team has scored above our NQS score (LSU 49.725)

Floor
RankNQSTeam
149.695LSU
249.675Oklahoma
349.635California
449.630Michigan
549.615Kentucky
We have the high score for the year (49.825) and the only one at or above 49.800. There are ten other schools with a 49.700+. Floor scores have been generous all year for everyone.

The Vault and Floor scores are packed fairly tight. We really differentiate ourselves on Bars and Beam.

Jordan is tied with eMjae Frazier of California for second. First is Haleigh Bryant from LSU with a 39.800. Understandably, the top 10 is like a checklist of the top gymnasts that you hear about. The only one in the top 13 that we haven't competed against this year is #8 Leanne Wong of Florida.

Ten gymnasts have scored a perfect 10 this year. The only one that we haven't competed against is #8 Sienna Schreiber from Missouri.

That includes Ava Siegfeldt. Ava only has 2 scores so far this year, so she doesn't have an NQS score yet.

Look out for Florida - they have a very young team and have some nice scores in second half of the season

My feelings are when we go to the national championships that any of these 5 could win a national championship. Everything needs to click but if it does any of them could medal

Ragn Smith - bars
Bowers - all around or almost any event. She is the gymnast that has the potential to match Maggie
Davis - on the bars
Torrez and LeVasseur - can't predict the event but both have scored 9.95 or higher on events regularly which is good enough to grab a national championship on the right day
