The Sooner Doubles Teams playing #1 and #2 win their matches by the score of 6-4.
Congrats to Shcherbinina-Guzman (#1 team) and to Noel-Garcia Ruiz (#2 team) on winning the Double Point for the Sooners. The match score for the #3 team (Cisovska-Gilheany) was 4-5 in favor of UCF when the doubles point was one. It looks like the #3 match was on-serve at that point.

The Sooners mix up their singles positions.
Shcherbinina stays at #1, Guzman moves up to #2, Urrutia moves to #3, Garcia Ruiz moves up to #4, Noel moves to #5 and Catanzarite remains as the #6 player.

The Sooners won the first three singles matches to win 4-0. I believe it was Catanzarite, Noel and Guzman that won their singles matches to end the match.

Yesterday, I was at the Men's BB Game while the Women's Tennis Match f,aginst UCF finished. I did post that the Sooners won the Double Point with the #1 Team Shcherbinina and Guzman and the #2 Team with Garcia-Ruiz and Noel winning their matches with 6-4 set wins. The #3 Doubles team of Cisovska and Gilheany were probably on serve in their set but trailed 4-5.
In the Singles Matches that concluded while I was at LNC saw the Sooners win the first three singles matches that finished to give the Sooners a sweep of their match with Central Florida. Noel, playing in the #5 spot, picked up the first singles win for the Sooners with a 6-2, 6-1 win (her first match win in singles as a Sooner, I think). Guzman, playing in the #2 spot, won her match next with a 6-1, 6-1 win. Then Catanzarite, in the #6 spot, won her match 7-5, 6-1 to give the Sooners 3 singles wins for the Sooners 4th point to win the match for #16 Oklahoma over #23 Central Florida. The Sooners juggled their order in the singles successfully yesterday with Guzman and Noel both winning playing in new positions for the Sooners.
In the other three singles matches, Shcherbinina won the first set in a tie-breaker with a 1-2 second set score when play ended. Urrutia won her first set also, 6-4, and wa tied at 2-2 in the second set. Garcia-Ruiz dropped her first set 4-6 with the second set tied at 3-3.
The win moved the #16 Sooners into the finals against #19 California today at 2 PM CST. The match will be at the Headington Family Tennis Center on the west side of the LNC parking lot.
Here are the full results of the match yesterday.
