I'm not sure what the issue is - I feel like something off-field happened to the team and broke their spirits (no info just a guess). They have no fight. That is what is so frustrating. They are just deflated and have no confidence in themselves it appears. What a way for 9 great seniors to go out..... just so sad really.

The Sooners have run up against a better team. Period.
Yep. The Pokes have played better ball the last two games. Hurts to say it.
We are seeing the chickens come home to roost I believe. All the games we won over the past few years by hitting that clutch HR, etc are all coming due against texas and osu. We are still a top 5-10 team, but we are definitely not playing as well as osu or texas right now.

This team is done. Not just for today but for the season.
They'll likely make it of the regionals, but not the supes.
...I don't know sT2... don't think I'm ready to throw in the towel just yet. Patty Gasso's still the coach. Still a lot of talent on this team.
It feels like there's a collective slump across the entire team. They get players on base, but they're just not stringing any hits together once they get on. Very surprising to see them struggle so much.
Bottom line in the Bedlam series so far: OSU has been playing like a Top 4 team. OU, sadly, has not. Our hitting was already in a slump before the series, but our pitching has also disappeared. Consider: yesterday we got out hit 7-3, out homered 3-0.
Today, we got out hit 10-5 and out homered 4-0.
How long has it been since OU has gone two consecutive games without a home run?
I dunno offhand, but even in the Texas series we lost 2-1, we homered in 2 out of the 3 games.
The old adage good pitching beats good hitting definitely seems to be holding true in the Bedlam series.

Even a dying Tiger can still deal death...!
As always from the Chinaman, never say die!.
I'll be cheering. From watching a lot of softball this year, seeing the teams around #12 - #14 I just don't see our girls taking 2 of 3 from any of them.
And Gajewski's backdoor strategy of starting his 2nd stringers and finishing with Kilfoyl has worked like a charm. We had numerous opportunities early in both games to plate runs, but weren't able to get the timely hit.
And Nicole May gave us all that she could. But she just doesn't seem to be able to refrain from serving up the long ball to our opponents. I can't remember the last time that she pitched good ball for 7 innings.
Maxwell? I had a bad feeling going into the Bedlam series IRT to Maxwell. Just had a feeling that going up against her previous teammates might tend to work a mind game against her.
Well, we will see if our girls can salvage Game #3 for pride tomorrow. We are definitely out of it IRT winning the conference, we have snapped all sorts of records in the last couple of games.
There is still lots of season left, but OU Softball needs to get back to doing what got them here!

I really wish that Jordy would have hung around.
I guess she was the fiercest fighter we had. Sadly for her, her season was a bust and so was ours. Just a lose-lose all around. Had she stayed and no gotten injured, I'm 100% confident we are primed for #4.
