Tied at 1 each. I hate it when we are bumfuzzled at the plate. Pickering with that Erickson and Grace Green problem.

Dang! top of 7th inning, our bats have come to life...finalmente!
Corri Hicks gets her first hit as a Sooner, and we're up 5-1 now.
We win 5-1, and I think we'll be rated #2. worst case #3.

GOOD WIN! Nice rebound. Great pitching.
Hopefully, the loss helps them focus and not worry about anything but the next game, the next inning, the next pitch. A young team that is learning and improving.
I believe they will do well. Need to be at their best against texsa and Fla to end the season.

Very nice comeback win today. And a beautiful pitching job by Landry.
It was good to see our bats finally come alive in the late innings. I hope they can build on this. Tennessee and the flame thrower come to town next week.

Mizzou had a couple or 3 pitchers who were giving our hitters problems throughout the weekend (well, maybe not in Game 1). Games 2 & 3 were both pretty competitive games. OU has a number of players who can go yard on any given pitch. Without looking at the stats, I would say that at least 75% of this weekend's runs scored by OU came by way of HR.
*****
Just looked at the box scores for the weekend: Friday, all 8 runs were by HR.
Saturday, our only run was a HR.
Sunday, 3 out of our 5 runs were via the long ball.
So of the 14 runs we scored in Columbia, 12 were by virtue of the BOMB.
Not complaining, I love it anyway that the Sooners can score, but we haven't scored a lot by virtue of sustained, multiple-hit rallies lately.
Obviously, the better caliber of pitching facing OU will adversely affect the OU bats. With Tennessee coming to town, we will need to have our bats hot and hope for another pitcher (Audrey?) who can help us win at least 2 out of the 3 game series. A sweep, of course, would be even better!
